Coloring this picture when Saul sees the light is easy and straight forward provided you choose the right colors and brushes to use during this exercise. This picture shows Saul kneeling down after he heard a voice of the Lord calling him and suddenly a light from the sky shone around him. This incident happened when he got close to Damascus. The voice of the Lord said to him “Saul, Saul, why do you prosecute me?” After this, the Lord told Saul that he was Jesus and commanded him to rise up and walk into the city where he could be told what he must do next. The light which is striking Saul is very strong as we can see him lifting his hands to block this light from striking his eyes. To depict the intensity of this light, it would be appropriate to paint the light with bright yellow or orange color. The ground where Saul is kneeling down can be painted with brown color. Besides Saul, there is a long, sharp and shiny sword. Paint this sword with silver color to depict a theme of protection. The head scarf which Saul is putting on can be painted with black color while his clothes can be painted with white color for them to be visible. There is a horse behind Saul which has very sturdy legs and it has a rope on its nose. Paint the horse with brown color and the rope with black or any other color of your choice provided it matches with the other colors in the picture.
